True to their calling, 14 cyclists from Terengganu are hitting the road to Muar to compete in the Cycling Grand Prix final on Sunday.
Terengganu cycling coach Syed Mohd Hussaini Syed Mazlan said the cyclists, comprising Malaysia Games elite riders, juniors and women riders, left for Muar yesterday.
According to him, all the 14 riders will also be cycling back to Kuala Terengganu after the GP final. The return journey is about 1,000km.
According to Bernama, their southward trip will see them taking the Kuala Terengganu-Kuantan-Segamat-Muar route while the return journey is along the Muar-Mersing-Pekan-Kuantan-Kemaman-Kuala Terengganu route, which involves some of the stages for next year’s Le Tour De Langkawi.
Syed Mohd Hussaini added that national riders who will be competing in the Asian Cycling Championship and the LTdL would also be joining the delegation.
