To experience the joys of pedal power, uber-rich cyclists don’t easily get impressed with a regular bicycle, rather they drool over those which boast of high-end craftsmanship. We have earlier seen world’s most expensive bicycles for eco-luxurious ride along with Wilier Triestina’s Cento 1 road race bike made with pure gold or the 24-carat gold-plated Brompton bike.
And, it seemed like gold-plated bikes has always appealed to the high net worth individuals. Now, we have another gold-plated Tomassini, an Italian vintage bicycle carrying a 35cc auxiliary motor and circa 1994, which is expected to fetch up to $3160 at the time it goes under the hammer at world leading auctioneer Dreweatts’ sale of luxury accessories in London.
The Tomassini, a customized Italian gent’s tourer has a gold-plated frame and fuel tank along with leather logos mounted twice on the frame and the ringing bell. Further, the handles and brake levers are leather covered along with two leather rear mounted panniers and a leather saddle.
