Despite reaping the coveted World Championship Rainbow jersey in Keirin, Malaysia’s favourite track cyclist Azizulhasni Awang is not resting on his laurels.

Azizulhasni is keen to show his calibre at the upcoming International Track Series (ITS) Melbourne in July, where he will line up against the track cycling stars from Australia, New Zealand, Malaysia, Japan, Hong Kong, China, Nigeria and Ireland.

Nicknamed ‘PocketRoketman’, he is excitedly awaiting to race in his prized rainbow jersey for the first time at ITS Melbourne, a culmination of 10 years of hard work and dedication. Moving forward, Azizulhasni has set his goal for gold at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

“It is fantastic, I am always wearing my rainbow jersey in training and now I can’t wait for my first race wearing the rainbow jersey here at my training ground at ITS Melbourne. I really want to enjoy this moment, ” said Azizulhasni Awang.

“It’s important for everyone out there to realize that achieving goals is never going to be easy. You face hurdles, things that will try to stop you. Failure is key in the process. I think it’s important not to let it stop you.” continued Azizulhasni.
