IT was a day of mixed emotions for the Terengganu Cycling Team as they saw bad luck haunt Saufi Mat Senan for a second straight day, but celebrated Shinichi Fukushima atop the mountains classification in the Tour of Taiwan yesterday.
At the opening ceremony of the 25th Taipei Cycle show yesterday, Taiwan’s president (and avid cyclist) Ma Ying-jeou emphasized his government’s efforts to make Taiwan a center for bicycle riding as well as bike production.
Tour de Taiwan 2012 will be kicked off on March 10 to March 16. The word “bike” seems to become one of the most representative words for Taiwan. A lot of travel magazine all over the world have voted Taiwan as one of the perfect places to travel via bikes.
