Bicycle lanes are not fine and dandy like we see in pictures. The lane off Jalan Ang Seng in Brickfields is lined with holes and broken cement, posing a major risks to cyclists.

“This is getting out of hand – it was intact this morning, ” said another cyclist, Nick Williamson.

“I cycled along the route 10 days ago and it was fine.

 According to Seang Nee, a whole section of the designated lane had been dug up with fencing erected near the turning of Jalan Ang Seng. The initial 3m-wide lane has now shrunk to a single-file lane.
