London, August 1st, 2012 – Pro Team Astana today announce that Maxim Iglinsky has signed with the team for a further two years. The Liege-Bastogne-Liege winner put pen to paper on a contract extension to keep him with the team until 2014.

Iglinskiy turned professional in 2004 and has been a PRO TEAM ASTANA rider since 2007 when he joined the team from Team Milram. His career highlight was the race win of the Liege-Bastogne-Liege in April of 2012 where he overcame stiff competition from Vincenzo Nibali.

Commenting about his contract extension Maxim Iglinskiy said: “2012 has been a great year for me and the team. My race win at the Liege-Bastogne-Liege was a special moment and shows just how far we have come. It was an easy decision to sign for two more years, and I am looking forward to training hard and competing for race wins in the future”.

Team Manager Giuseppe Martinelli commented: “Maxim is an important member of PRO TEAM ASTANA. His first place at Liege-Bastogne-Liege was a brilliant win, and I am very pleased that he has committed to the team through to 2014. We are developing an exciting stable of riders and Maxim has a bright future ahead of him, and I look forward to more success for him and the team“.
