More than 500 cyclists are gearing up for the annual PCC Interstate 2015 flagging off this Saturday from Tune Hotel in Cyberjaya, organised by Pedalholics Cycling Club (PCC) of Malaysia.
The 18th edition of PCC Interstate will have cyclists pedalling 158km to Port Dickson on the first day, 170km to Batu Pahat on the second day and 140km into Malacca to celebrate Merdeka Day on 31st August. The annual ride attracts cyclists from East and West Malaysia, Singapore and Indonesians.
The PCC Interstate is not a race, but regulars to the annual event clamour to register for the camaraderie and cycling comradeship on two wheels. It’s an event for a mass reunion, where new friends are made and fostered further as the kilometers add on.
In keeping with the club’s safety standards and traditions, a briefing on all aspects of the ride was held in conjunction with the goodie bag collection day. All participants received a cycling jersey, ride tags and ID cards, and will receive a finisher medal at the finish line.
Sponsors and partners of the event include Swire Motors, Thule, Magma, Sony, AFO Radio, IMCyclist.com, Guitar Store, Swiss-Garden Hotel & Residences, BaikBike.com, Ebakzsports and Environment Cycling Club.
